I forgot how to do this; How do you change your preferences to append the filetype at the end of the filename?
So, right now I have a textfile in a folder, and it%26#039;s called %26quot;mouse%26quot;. I need to change my preferences so that when I look in that folder, the computer will recognize the file as %26quot;mouse.txt%26quot;.|||Double click my computer.
click Tools %26gt; Folder Options
click View Tab
uncheck the box that says %26quot;Hide extensions for known file types%26quot;
(Note: winxp directions)|||Click on Tools in the folder and click on Folder Options. The go to the View tab, and uncheck %26quot;hide extensions for known file types%26quot;
