To do this, you will need to know how to use actionscript and how to change the instance name of a textbox or button.
Place the button on the stage, and in the properties window change it%26#039;s Instance name to something like txtChange_btn
Create a text field on the stage, and make sure it%26#039;s a dynamic text field, and that the name is something like txtChange_txt
Lastly, click on the stage where there%26#039;s whitespace and open up your actionscript window.
Place this code there:
txtChange_btn.onClick = function(){
txtChange_txt.text = %26quot;You clicked the button.%26quot;;

This should work although I haven%26#039;t used flash in awhile...

How to append filetype to filename?
I forgot how to do this; How do you change your preferences to append the filetype at the end of the filename?

Well we just started playing WoW...we each have one of those cow chars....on one realm....I just started a night elf on another realm and the time on the new realm is not the time it is where we live....on the realm where we have the cow chars its the time it is in real life.......
So how do you change the time to make it the time it is in real life? You know so you can hover your mouse over the thing on the map circle....while you playing? (it helps monitor how long I%26#039;ve been playing....which is necessary because the game is addicting). ;)

How to change Right Click menu?
I was wondering how to change/modify the menu when you press right click on your mouse, like Open, Explore, Delete, Property ? Sometimes it has too many unnecessary menu. I want to delete it. Or can I add custom menu ?

For example, right click on a desktop icon and if you have Norton Antivirus installed it will have %26#039;Scan with Norton Antivirus%26#039; as a choice. I%26#039;m sure there are a lot of virused icons out there, thanks for the option guys.
The first step to getting rid of these entries involves opening the programs in question and looking through their options to see if you can unselect any %26#039;integration%26#039; or %26#039;context menu%26#039; options they have. If that fails, and the program absolutely insists on being an intimate part of your Windows, you can edit the registry as follows:
1. Before we make any changes in the registry, and even though you should have a full System Restore and/or Registry backup already, back up the registry keys which will be affected in this tweak:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive]
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder]
2. Do this by opening Regedit, find the relevant sub-folder, right-click on it and select Export. Make sure the %26quot;Selected Branch%26quot; option is selected under Export Range, then enter a descriptive name and save it somewhere safe. Do that for each one of the four sub-folders above. Why do people say "dont wash your pet mouse"?
i have a pet mouse and my mom and i think it would be fun to make%26#039;m swim when i change his cage cuz it only takes 10 minutes at the most. but ive been doing some research and a lot of people say do not wash your pet mouse! i was just wondering why people say that. also, if i do decide to make him swim, how do i dry him???thanks!|||I tried to do it once

just take a small wash cloth and wipe it back and forth over it
like you would a towel on your hair and that should work
just do NOT blow dry it because its guaranteed to freak out
good luck =]|||It puts A LOT of stress on them. And water washes away very important oils on their coat. They are not very good at swimming and it tires them out and they keep getting more tired, and tired, and tired until they just can%26#039;t tread water any more.
Please don%26#039;t make them suffer!
It may be fun to watch, but it%26#039;s not fun for them AT ALL. It%26#039;s like torture to them.
DON%26#039;T MAKE THEM SWIM FOR 10 MINUTES EITHER! THEY CANNOT SWIM THAT LONG! If you really MUST let them %26#039;have fun%26#039; in the water, fill a container with 1cm deep water so that atleast they can stand and rest.|||I been breeding mice for over a year, and I got over 10 mice, when i clean there cages, i put them in a box til there cages are clean and ready. Then i fill up the tub with warm water and let the mice swim around for about a minute, u can also put a few drops of shampoo on there back and rub it in with water and then rinse them off with running water, use ur hand to spread the water and to clean off shampoo, after that wrap them up in paper towel, and gently wipe them down, u wont get them 100% dry, they will still be damp, after that let them back in there cage where they will dry themselves off with there tong.
P.S. Alot of ppl where dont have alot of experience, But i been bathing my mice for over 10 months there great swimmers, they may freak out at first few times thats because they never been in water befor, but after a few times they are more calm, to know when that happens just put ur hand in the water and they can swim to it, if there ok they will just hold ur hand, if they want out they will try to climb ur arm. Towels arnt that good at drying them off, paper towels are the best.
Also dont let them swim unattended cuz they will get tired eventually. also dont get soap in there eyes.|||Well no efence but....THEY CAN DROWN!Pet mice are not really ment to swim but they can go in shallow water maybey....use a cloth to dry him of gentely?|||Because they are so small and they get scared easily. Also they might breathe it in. And because they are so small their bodies can get cold real easy.

How do you change how the camera moves on the The Sims Life Stories?
For anyone who%26#039;s ever played the original Sims games, your mouse moved the screen(camera) for you (if i wanted to see what was to the left i moved my mouse left and it changed what i was seeing).
On the Sims Life Stories, I have to hold the right mouse key down and drag to move the camera.

How often do you change your hammy's aspen?
Hi! I recently switched from carefresh to aspen bedding, just because of the fact that, for the same amount, aspen is $15 whereas carefresh is $90. (30 dry gallons each)
I have heard from some people, change it once a week, from some, change it twice a week, and from some, change it every 4-5 days. So, what should I believe?
How about for one dwarf hamster? For two? For three?
Today I got two hammy sisters, living together in a 3gal aquarium (I literally gasped with shock, that is no home for ONE hamster, let alone two!) and it looked like their bedding hadn%26#039;t been changed in MONTHS, thank god I got them and can provide a better home for them. The bedding also looked like cedar. (-gasp-) But, anyway, the person didn%26#039;t know how to care for their wittle babies, haha. In the future, I may be homing the three sweater girls together (Greta, Marilyn, and Katharine) so if there were three hamsters together (Either in a 4-cage modular home or a 120qt bin cage) how often should I change the bedding then?
I know, my questions are always overly long, but I like talking, haha.
So, HERE IS THE MAIN QUESTION:
People with aspen bedding, how often do you change it, how often do you -recommend- changing it for one dwarf, two dwarfs, and three dwarfs, and how many hammies/rats/mice/cavvies etc do you have in -your- cage? and i turned the computer off because it was annoying me, so i turned it back on..and guess what? on the start up it just does the windows XP logo and that black screen with the thing that looks like an I (like when you type something that I changes your mouse into an I) %26gt;_%26lt;

I don%26#039;t know what they are called (tell me if you know), but, basically, how do you make buttons for the web that highlight or change colors or whatever, when you click on them or put your mose over them. How to add your own mouse cursor / pointer in Visual Basic 2008?
Does anyone have examples on how to change the mouse cursor in a program within Visual Basic 2008?
I saw one example, but the problem seem to be, it was indicated that .NET can only accept B/W and now color ones.

First, you may be able to add a custom cursor to the list of cursors, and specify that cursor in the form%26#039;s properties (in form designer, go to properties page with the form selected... there%26#039;s a %26quot;cursor%26quot; property there.)
Otherwise, you may be able to disable the cursor completely and put an image control on the form... and every time the MouseMove event happens on the form, handle it and position that image at the mouse location... simulating a cursor.

How do I create an image that changes on a mouse over?
I don%26#039;t have a lot of experience. I know how to get image location and stuff though. I want to basically make an image and when you put you%26#039;re mouse over it, it will change to another, and then of course when you take your mouse off, it will change back. I just have basic software that comes with Vista so I%26#039;m assuming I use notepad? How can you change the mouse pointer when your are viewing your friendster account?
I%26#039;ve seen many designs at friendster-layouts.com that had its mouse pointer change to a different one, like a sword, pencil, etc., instead using the standard Windows mouse pointer.

Do your kids ever change your computer settings?
Quite often I find little things that have changed. One of my sons is always changing or adding to the screen saver and another has learned how to switch the mouse over for left handed users (he is left handed and has watched us switch it for him). Today, I find that the cursor has been switched to a hockey stick and puck. Sometimes they change the colors of our homepage as well (the other day it was blue, now it is orange).
Do any of your kids do things like this?|||All the time! The other day I set my daughter (6) up with a computer game. Come back to the computer with XXXL font. My mother was over and went to use the computer. She told me maybe I should see an eye doctor. LOL! |||My neice altered my Itunes settings. She changed my password but kept my credit card information. I didn%26#039;t notice until I saw an itunes bill for$34 on my bank statement. She was 10!|||Ya, it%26#039;s normal when you have kids on a computer and they%26#039;re bored....do you have K9 installed? that%26#039;s a great safe program|||Yes, all the time and it drives me crazy! He downloads games etc, or saves settings to the things he likes. I just decided to have him on his own log in user so he can change the settings on his log in to whatever he wants and I just monitor occasionally to make sure he is not doing anything inappropriate.|||im a 10 and i do it all the time to my mom but the soulotion is you can make a password protected account|||Kids doo it all the time just to annoy there parents. They wanna be creative and have fun with the computer. If you find this annoying you can have a password locked acount. You can go to my setting and password lock it OR ask one of your sons to switch it back.|||this is why we all have seperate window accounts. My son can change whatever he likes on HIS account and it will not affect mine.
We all have our own screen savers, desktop backgrounds etc.
Me and my hubby have passwords to log into our window accounts which stops my son snooping or changing our settings.

When you put your mouse over an icon on the task bar on my laptop, how do you change it from words to picture?

How do you change your flash so that it doesn't say "click to make controls work" or something?
It just started to do this. Whenever i go to what i think is a flash page (i%26#039;m pretty sure it%26#039;s a flash thing) i scroll over things and there is just a huge box around the whole area where there is flash.
